GIRLS GRADES 2 & 3 SOFTBALL
The West Springfield Youth Softball Association (WSYSA) along with the West Springfield Park & Recreation Department (WSPR) offers Youth Softball Leagues to provide every child with an opportunity to learn the game, improve their softball skills, and play in games that are safe and fun while having a fabulous time doing so. Our softball programs serve children currently in Pre-School thru Grade 10.
Participants are to bring the following items labeled with child’s name: their own Baseball/Softball glove, water bottle, cleats (recommended)/sneakers. Bats, balls, and helmets are provided. Uniforms will vary between age groups.

Coed T-Ball: An instructional program for boys & girls who are in PRE-SCHOOL (must be 4 or 5 years old by Sept 1, 2024). Practices/Scrimmages are held at Old Tatham Field on Sundays from 3:30pm-4:30pm OR 5:00pm-6:00pm. The season begins April 28, 2024 and runs until June 16, 2024. A coach will contact you with more specific team information prior to the season starting.
Kindergarten & Grade 1 Girls Softball: This instructional program focuses on basic skill development. Practices/Scrimmages are held at Old Tatham Field on Mondays & Wednesdays beginning at 5:45pm. The season begins mid-April and runs until late-June. A coach will contact you with more specific team information prior to the season starting.
Grades 2 & 3 Girls Softball: A semi-competitive program for girls with the emphasis on having FUN! Games are held at Old Tatham Field on Tuesdays & Thursdays beginning at 5:45pm. Each team will be assigned a 1.5 hour practice time on Saturdays. Practices are scheduled by volunteer coaches according to the coaches’ availability and the availability of fields. The season begins the mid-April and runs until late-June. A coach will contact you with more specific team information prior to the season starting.
